Brampton is home to the ErinoakKids Regional Respite Centre, the only Centre of its kind in Ontario with the staff expertise to serve children and youth with medical complexities, as well as those with significant behavioural challenges. Meeting all of the needs of a child, youth or young adult with highly complex health and/or developmental disabilities can be stressful, overwhelming and physically and emotionally demanding. Respite care provides critical relief for families, offering caregivers the chance to rest and support their own wellness, while their child is safe, well cared for and happy.

Fiona D'Silva-Coelho, Manager of Annual Giving will share some lessons learned on how to be an effective caregiver by incorporating self-care and rest into your daily lives.

As a reminder, given that they are a treatment centre with high risk youth onsite, we need guests to wear a mask when onsite.
